Black excellence! A teenager named Elijah Muhammad has made history as the youngest African-American to graduate college with a Computer Science and Cybersecurity degree.

He imprinted his name in the sands of time when he walked across the stage to graduate from college at 13.

Elijah becomes fully aware of the milestone

Speaking about the accomplishment, Elijah admitted that he did not fully understand the full impact of his achievement until his dad explained it to him.

"He was like 'You're doing this; you're the youngest ever to do it,'" Elijah said, according to Action News.

Elijah is proud of his work and has completed more than just the diplomas.

"I have 10 IBM certifications, one Google IT certification and four Oklahoma City Community College diplomas," he said, in a report by AfroTech.

Elijah's parents express excitement

The teenager's family beamed with pride over his milestones and future. His mother admitted that Elijah is the most intelligent person she knows.

''I've never seen anyone like him," said Atashia Muhammad, Elijah's mother.

The teen's father is equally delighted about his boy's history-making accomplishment. He believes that whatever a person puts their mind to, they can do it.

Black girl becomes the youngest student to earn a bachelor's degree from Langston University at 15

Still on education, Ghana's leading news site YEN.com.gh reported that Elijah's older sister graduated from college at 15.

After making history as the youngest student to obtain an associate degree from Langston University in the US, Shania Muhammad has now bagged a bachelor's degree.

Before her recent accomplishment, the 15-year-old had inked her name in the history books of Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) with another associate degree.

Ghanaian boy accepted into PRESEC-Legon

In a previous story, YEN.com.gh reported that Lydia Ofei, a resident of Suhum in the Eastern Region, wept when her son gained acceptance into Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon (PRESEC-Legon).

PRESEC-Legon is regarded as one of the best schools in Ghana, and many parents are overjoyed when their sons gain admission to the institution.

Due to financial constraints, Ofei, a single parent of five who works as an attendant in a nursery school in Suhum, advised her 16-year-old son to enrol as a day student in one of Suhum's three SHSs.
